Dental Integrity
We have seen dental work come to our office from all over. Dr. Edwin Porter has been asked to give second opinions on treatment plans, on completed dental work, and ideas. We have seen great work and not so great work. If we see something that is done incorrectly or is not up to our standard of care, we will help you to get the dentistry you deserve and your body needs. We pride ourselves on the best materials, workmanship, and experience that you as a patient can receive. Our Arboretum office is convenient to most everywhere in Charlotte, we are always on call for an emergency, and will guarantee that you get the best! That is what integrity means to us. Dr. Edwin Porter and his staff hold only the highest of standards. Call us today to check us out! 704-544-5330!

Ice Cubes Are Bad For Your Teeth!
It's your dental tip of the day brought to you by Dr. Edwin S Porter and his staff.
Don’t eat ice cubes! It is the nearing the end of the season for this refreshing pastime, but it can result in fractured teeth! Many older fillings are made of silver, which doesn’t bond to teeth like the tooth colored fillings we complete and can cause tiny cracks because of the stress of chewing hard items like ice cubes, candy or unpopped popcorn kernels. The older we get, the more brittle our teeth become! Crunching down on ice can also mean that you have an iron deficiency! So stock up on an iron supplement and chew on those!
Save the ice cubes for your drink cup and and save your teeth, pain, and money!! 704-544-5330 or DentistryinCharlotte.com

Fall Into Good Oral Hygiene Habits!
It’s that time of year when the leaves are falling and the temperature is getting cooler. It’s also the time to think about your oral hygiene routine! Do you know all the steps to keep your pearly whites in healthy and beautiful condition? Well start with brushing and flossing twice daily. We recommend an electric toothbrush with a soft bristled head. And I promise you, this does not make you lazy! It’s clinically proven to help you brush for the correct amount of time, with the proper speed and pressure, and can get those harder to reach spots that may be hard manually. Dr. Edwin Porter also recommends a fluoride rinse at night before bed to keep those pesky cavities at bay. Other important tidbits to remember are to chew gum that is sugarless and contains xylitol, to never chew on ice, and to keep your cleaning and check-up appointments!!
We are always here to help you maintain and achieve your best oral health! Please call with any questions and we’d love to see you! 704-544-5330 or e-mail the Arboretum office at Wanda@DentistryinCharlotte.com !
